Paint – The Ultimate Mood Makeover
These days, it seems we are constantly being bombarded with headlines from around the world that bear bad news. To be honest, I’m tired of being in a down and out sort of mood, aren’t you? A way to remedy these feelings may be as simple as a fresh coat of paint and Sherwin Williams, the largest paint producer in the U.S. predicts bright, saturated colors will trump the industry in 2010.
Judith Sisler Johnston, president of Sisler Johnston Interior Design and ASID Allied Member said colors appeal to emotions and can change moods. I am thinking a color splash is exactly what I could use at the moment and it seems that Sherwin Williams’ array of new colors this year could have what it takes to add some zest to my life.
The2010 colors have been divided into four categories: rooted, simplified, treasured and refreshed. I particularly like the light hearted shades found in the “Simplified” line. The sophistication and versatility that comes with silvery whites, greys and glowing yellows are calm, yet trendy. If you’re looking for something more exotic, perhaps the vibrancy of the “Refreshed” line is for you. Unexpected hues like yellow-orange, green and coral maybe a beneficial antidote for your 2010 lifestyle.
